Does the Church have the power and authority to forgive your sins?

“There is no offense, however serious, that Church cannot forgive.”, Catholic Catechism, Pg. 256, #982

“By Christ’s will, the Church posseses the power to forgive sins of the baptized…”, Pg. 257, #986

“Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?”, Mark 2:7

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”, Ephesians 4:32

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”, Hebrews 4:16

This verse LOUDLY proclaims that forgiveness of sins comes from God’s throne, not the Church…

“Indeed bishops who are their successors, and priests, the bishops’ collaborators, continue to exercise this ministry. Indeed bishops and priests, by virtue of the sacrament of Holy Orders, have the power to forgive all sins “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”, Pg. 255, #1461

“The Church must be able to forgive all penitents their offenses, even if they should sin until the last moment of their lives.” , Pg. 255, #979

The psalmist went straight to God:

“I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.”, Psalm 32:5

“Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.”, Psalm 25:18

And also in Psalm 51.

God never called us to go through a church for forgiveness.

Psalm 86:5, Colossians 3:13

Why then would the Catholic Church INSIST that forgiveness of sins is ONLY available through her?

“Were there no forgiveness of sins in the Church, there would be no hope of life to come or eternal liberation. Let us thank God who has given his Church such a gift.”, Pg. 256, #983

The Bible I read teaches is to look to Jesus for our salvation and forgiveness…the Catholic Church once again is in conflict with your Bible!

You are in bondage to the Catholic Church if you call yourself Catholic…whether you think so or not!

The BIBLE or the Catholic Church…which side will you choose?

AGE OF THE EARTH

Jesus said that Adam was made in the beginning (Matthew 19:4, Mark 10:6) Genesis 1 says Adam was created on day 6.

Real slow… 🙂

The earth was 6 days old when God created the Adam.

Genesis 5 (KJB)

Adam was 130 when he begat Seth. The earth was 130 years old when Seth was born.

Seth was 105 when he begot Enos…track with me… 130 + 105 = 235. The earth was 235 years old when Enos was born…

Enos was 90 when Cainan was born
130 + 105 + 90 = 315. The earth was 315 years old when Cainain was born…

I’m not going to do this all day, the years are right there in Genesis 5…do the math…but from Adam to the flood…the earth was 1656 years old…by the way. Adam lived to be 930 years old…after the flood something happened…and people started living less and less…now about 70 years.

From Adam to Jesus…is about 4,000 years…again…we can add the dates. If the Bible is wrong about it’s history then it is wrong about it’s theology…and then what are we doing?

From Jesus to today (2019)…about 2,000 years…4,000 + 2,000 = 6,000 years. The earth is about 6,000 years old.

Science absolutely supports this…another time we can attack these details.

It’s simple by using the genealogy in the Bible (Genesis 5, Matthew & Luke)…we can add the years…to the Age of the Earth.

The Bible clearly says that Jesus created the earth in about 6,000 years. Anyone with BASIC math skills should be able to figure this out.

Try it…what number do you get?

SHOULD CHRISTIANS SWEAR?

By Kevin Airrington

When I lived in West You will know them by their fruit!Germany I was friends with a German man.

One day we were sitting around discussing languages. I asked him what the German words were for different English swear words. What else? 🙂 Ironically there was a German equivalent for every English word except one.

The F Word…Helmut tells me proudly with a hideous laugh, “we say it in English!”

So, what makes one word a swear word…and others not? We even have replacement, or our generic swear words that aren’t really swearing, only…yes, it is. We think by changing a few letters we are not actually saying the word in our mind…or somehow when we say frig that God doesn’t know what we mean? Wow, we smart we fool da crea’er of universe!

It really doesn’t matter who decided certain words we’re swear words or even that certain words are swear words. The fact is they are…and in any language, these are still cuss words.

And if not, like my friend Helmut, we will just pick a swear word in another language.

1 Thessalonians 5:22 in the time tested good il’ King James Bible, The Apostle Paul tells us to, “Abstain from all APPEARANCE of evil.”

Modern trash gives us the biggest, “well duh” moment, “Abstain from every form of evil.”. Well duh…of course we are to shun evil…but Paul actually took it a step further. He said to avoid the appearance of evil. The modern versions water down the Gospel and may be the very reason we are in this mess.

The Bible could not be clearer about sin…

Be in the Word

James 5:12 – “But above all things, my brethren, swear not…”

Ephesians 5:4 – “Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.”

Matthew 12:34-37, “…for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. ”

Proverbs 4:24 – “Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.”

Proverbs 8:13 – “The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”

Leviticus 19:12 – “And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I [am] the LORD.

Ephesians 4:29 – “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth…”

So, now that I have shown you that your foul mouth is sinful. What are you going to do about it? Here is comes…”BLANK OFF!!! Don’t judge me.”

In your stammering and feigning innocence, now you are adding the sins of deception and deflection to Strong Language. I guess my mother was right, one sin does lead to another. And we shouldn’t use bad words.

Christians do not Swear!

When I hear a Christian swear I just cringe. In this society of if it feels good do it…we ignore Psalm 101:3 – “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.”. As we do the entire Bible. And let me just bookend this for you. Colossians 3:2 – “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

You see it’s cool these days to be a Christian who swears. It gives the curser an “I’m into Jesus, but I’m not legalistic” badge.

The problem is we are desensitized to swearing, public nudity, public sex…we are away from God. I said a moment ago that I cringe when I hear so called Christians swear. What’s worse is hearing someone take my Lord’s Name, a Name above all other names in vain. That’s right…MY LORD! Because if you do this…He is not your Lord. You and your OM- in your text! It used to hurt me…now it makes me angry.

Someone, I will not mention either parties name because I believe the perpetrator has repented. But someone called me and said, “Kevin, listen to this hateful message left on my machine.”. And they were quite noticeably upset —- shaky voice, crying, etc. I listened to about a two-minute message of an angry person…every other word profanity…and then they say said F you! And more insults, adjectives and swear words come out…and they ended with these words, in a calm. voice, almost sounded like a different person they say, “God bless you, I love you.”

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I’m not even going to comment further…we all know or should know.

The other day, someone asked me, “Kevin, the other day I hurt myself and a swear word just slipped out. Was that a sin?”

First of all the Bible declares that, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” – Romans 3:23. And I may not swear, and the more you read your Bible, the more you pray, the closer you get to God, the more you declare war on sin and swearing…

Micah 3:8 – “But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.”

… profanity will not leave your lips. Does that mean that I am sinless? No way…I struggle with my own sin….but not deliberately and I try not to sin. So, while they sinned when they swore, and I asked them, ” did it just come out or is swearing part of your vocabulary?”

They assured me that it just slipped…so, while sin…sin we can repent of and ask God to help us not to sin. In Psalm 119:11, the author, probably David in his Prayer for Help, he says, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

READ HIS WORD…the more we read it the less we sin. It’s a fact my friend!

But until you declare and as the Hebrew writer… probably Paul declares, “Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.” – Hebrews 12:4

So, until we resist sin with our whole being and declare war against Satan and all of Hell…we will always struggle with sin.

Now, if you are a new convert or you just “slip” once in a while…then you are probably saved…but need to apply Hebrews 12:4 and Psalm 119:11 and we’ll actually…the whole Bible…until you do…you will never have VICTORY in your life.

However, and someone isn’t going to like this but I must be obedient…if your swearing is out of hand, part of your daily vocabulary and you make no effort to resist the devil…and as my mother used to say…one sin leads to another and I will bet that if swearing is part of your normal vocabulary…you have more sin. Probably a potato sack full of sin …and YOU ARE NOT SAVED! Meaning, and let me be clear…

Isaiah 59:1-5, 11-13 (read the whole chapter)

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, that he will not hear…

We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.

For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt…”

Our sin…our deliberate sin separates us from God and if that is you then you are going to HELL…forever and ever. And listen, forever is a long time my friend.

Finally, we, mere mortal humans measure sin and classify it. Some sin or this sin…MY SIN is not that bad…but oh my goodness look at his sin…I’m not that bad.

God looks at sin. Period. Period. Yes, the double period is for emphasis. I heard Joe Biden do that and I thought it was cool. 🙂 So, to God swearing is just as bad as lying and sexual. Sin, although sexual sin is the ONLY SIN God tells us to flee or run from, but you see to God sexual sin is no worse than cussing. “Oh, come on.” You gasp! Don’t look at me, I didn’t write the Book.

Should a child rapist go to Hell? Sure…I think we would all agree on that. Should you go to Hell for swearing? God says, ABSOLUTELY! And don’t forget what my mother used to say

Romans 6:12,23 Gives a strong warning.

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof…For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

But ends with encouraging words. My friend do not be angry with me. Stop sinning…stop cussing. IF YOU CUSS YOU DO NOT BELONG TO GOD.

“For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

Romans 6  – “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”

Proverbs 24:16

There, that’s good news…and incentive not to cuss. I hope as Paul says…you are ashamed. And I have just shined a big bright flashlight, you know one of those uber cool police flashlights, super bright with like 50 million LEDs.

If you say, “yup, that’s me and I am ashamed, ashamed for not abstaining from all APPEARANCE of EVIL. I am ashamed of my sin and I need the blood of Jesus to cleanse me and help me never to swear again. Acts 3:19… Repent and turn from your side no sin. May God bless you and yours.

Christian Symbol?

Is the FIsh a “Christian” symbol?
Better Google: ‘Egyptian fish god” and perhaps STOP using it.

No automatic alt text available. Are crosses Christian symbols?

(1.) 97.9% of the time the people wearing across are NOT a Christian.

(2.) The cross was NEVER intended to be a religious symbol.

(3.) If you Dad or your son got the electric chair would you wear an electric chair around your neck to remember them?

(4.) The cross is a symbol that predates Christ. The symbol is associated with Tammuz from the Babylonian Religion. (Babylonian Mystery Religion, p. 51) or https://www.ebay.com/itm/132516209521

From Babylon, the cross spread to other nations and was associated with paganism long before Jesus’ crucifixion in A.D. 31

(5.) a. It was a shameful instrument of death (Hebrews 12:2).
b. While the apostles preached “the cross [stauros]” as part of the history of Christ’s ministry for our sakes (1 Corinthians 1:17-18), it was not something they idolized

(6.) What does the Bible teach about wearing any religious symbol?

No automatic alt text available.Under the Old Covenant that God made with ancient Israel, God instructed them to wear reminders of their faith upon their hands (Deuteronomy 6:8; 11:18). In fulfillment of this command, phylacteries, small leather boxes containing scriptural passages, were traditionally worn by Jewish men during their morning weekday prayers. However, many did this to “appear” religious to those around them. (Matthew 23:5)

(7.) During His New Testament ministry, Jesus taught His followers to display their spirituality through their actions and deeds (Matthew 5:16). Under the New Covenant, ushered in by Christ, God’s laws are to be written on our hearts—that is, in our minds (Hebrews 8:10; 10:16).

Image may contain: 1 person, closeupIf you would like to learn more about the history of the cross and how this pagan symbol entered Christianity, read chapters 6 and 7 of Ralph Woodrow’s book, Babylon Mystery Religion. These two chapters are respectively titled “Is the Cross a Christian Symbol?” and “Constantine and the Cross.”

Order Babylon Religion

1. Babylon Mystery Religion
2. A Woman Rides The Beast

Absolutely free. Just mention you saw this on Facebook.

Image may contain: 1 person, closeup* I have no way of knowing if the persons depicted in the attached photos are saved or not. The point is wearing a cross does not make you saved. The bigger the cross does not make you more saved any more than wearing more than one cross. Christians need to be careful about the symbols the idolize and glorify.

The NKJV has a satanic symbol as it’s logo! That is an essay for another day.

Beware of talisman and symbols./ St. Christipher cannot protect you any more than my grandfather can…and they are both dead! Jesus is alive…you want a symbol? Look to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith!

WAKE UP!!!!

Image may contain: sky, plant, tree and outdoorEVERY SINGLE DAY IN AMERICA 11 CHURCHES CLOSE FOREVER!!!!

Christian Colleges and Christian Universities are closing too!

This is long…you won’t care. You will laugh and mock me and say, “I’m on a highway to Hell and its gonna be fun because that’s where all my friends are.”

The RAPTURE of the CHURCH — it is said to be the GREATEST EVEN THAT THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN IS COMING SOON!

I believe that if we do not get our acts together the rapture may come with a bang and end with a fizzle. “Narrow is the gate and few find the way.” We have a lot to talk about. Don’t just sit there and assume your salvation is secure.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24:12

The time is near and the scariest part is this…

Jesus said, “… Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8

Jesus asks when He returns will there be anything for Him to return too…sin will abound and the love of many shall wax cold.

Jesus also Prophesied that the there would be a great falling away. 11 CHURCHES CLOSING EVERY SINGLE DAY IN AMERICA! Christian colleges and Christian Universities closing.

No automatic alt text available. And for those of you that were hoping to skip the tribulation…I’m sorry you and I will have a front row seat! (READ YOUR BIBLE 1 Thessalonian 4, Matthew 24, Daniel 6,7 and 9 and Revelation 7)…We do not get to skip the Tribulation! The wrath of God??? That one is up to you!!!

And if you think that things are hard now…Just read

Jeremiah 12:5, “If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?”

Jerimiah says, “If the foot soldiers wore you out…what are you going to do when the horses come?”

There will be sin on every corner…you will be constantly tempted..walk down any street and pornography and sin will abound. How are you going to endure to the end?

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13

Christian…you only need to make it to the Day of Christ (Not to be confused with the Day of the Lord.). Can you do it?

Philippians 2:2-5, ” Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”

Image may contain: sky and outdoorPhilippians 1:6-7 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.”

v.10 “That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.”

v. 11 “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”

v.20-24 20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

2 Corinthians 2:16, “To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?”

This world is showing signs of the coming age. It’s time brothers and sisters…it’s time to finally get your donkey off the couch and fulfill the great commission! Matthew 28:19–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8

Jesus’ final command as He ascended into the clouds returning to the right hand of the Father says, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

Look at the attached photos…as one church closes after another…today 11 churches close…tomorrow another 11…I see why Jesus proclaimed, “Will I find FAITH on the earth when I return?”!!!!!!!!!!

LOOPHOLE CHRISTIAN

“Today I was looking around Facebook.  Mostly at Christian pages.  People were asking all kinds of questions like,

“Can I still be a Christian and drink alcohol?”

“Is it really cheating if all we are doing is sexting on our phones?”

“Do Christians smoke?”

“I think Christians can smoke weed because its natural and Jesus made.”

“I’m a Christian and I have dated my girlfriend for a year. I think it is wrong that my state banned same sex marriage, its nobodies business who I love.”

What was more interesting is there was no shortage of opinions. There was one thread that had 96 replies. 96! And not a single one said, “the Bible says…” And these opinions varied wide and far.

Yesterday somneone asked me, “if someone commits suicide would they go to Heaven?”  Since this is a very important issue, I will pause now to attempt an answer.

Do Christians who kill themselves go to Heaven or Hell? This is a difficult question to answer, not because the answer is difficult, but because Christians who are looking for the answer are probably contemplating suicide.  If this is you, I want to warn you that it is not God’s will that you commit suicide.

Many argue that suicide is murder and that there is no time to repent.   Maybe maybe not.  However, the God that I know says that He wishes that none would perish…no not one. 2 Peter 3:9

So, the short answer is, “I don’t know.”  And, this is a question that no one can answer with any sort of certainty.  I do know that committing suicide is one of the most selfish things that you can do to those that you love.  In fact, I would say committing adultery and committing suicide…it’s a toss up which is more selfish.  If you commit suicide…you leave those that love you behind, missing you, hurting and wondering if you are in Heaven or Hell.  I would even argue that you might miss Heaven, not for the murder but for being so selfish.

Suicide dulls you pain but for a moment and then one way or another you are in front of Jesus.  And I am going to tell you this, and hear me good.  There is absolutly no way, even if only s slim chance that killing myself would send me to Hell that I want to miss out on hearing these words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”  Matthew 25:21

The words that scare me, “…I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”  Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.   Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

NOTHING…and I mean NOTHING will keep me from the Joy of the Lord.   Also, Matthew 24:13, “ But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Mark 13:13, “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Hebrews 3:14, “For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;”

I NEVER, EVER want to hear the words, “…I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”  Matthew 7:21-23.

So, will killing yourseld send you to Hell?  I have no idea.  And maybe this is why the Bible is so silent on the issue…I am just not taking that chance.  I do not care how bad it gets on earth.

Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”, Genesis 9:6

Therefore, according to the Bible, the only One who has the right to decide when we die is the Creator Himself.  The Bible also says God has ordained the days of our lives.  So, suicide specifically violates the will of God in a person’s life.

I’m talking to Christians now.

I have always used this analogy when describing our Christian walk.

Your salvation is a road…sometimes the road is straight…sometimes there are twists and turns.

Sometimes the road seems all uphill…but then there are days the road is all down hill and you feel a breeze on your face.

Some days you cannot wait for tomorrow as your road is all filled with bumps and pot holes.  And the days we look forward to are the days when our road is smooth and easy going.

But make no mistake on your right is a feel dark abyss that leads straight to Hell. But on your left is a big beautiful green meadow with trees, flowers and sunshine…a light breeze and a perfect 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

On the left…you know the beautiful meadow…that’s Heaven…and you can see it, you can feel its warmth but you can’t even stick your toe in…that day will have to wait.

But on the right…that cliff is deep and wide and leads to an everlasting life of torment.

I don’t want to live my life so far from Heaven that I cannot see it, be encouraged by it, motivated by it…feel the love and power from God…

Because as I go through my life down my road of salvation (sanctification to be precise)…I’m gonna stumble, I promise you that.   And when I stumble I want to be in the Father’s arms, where I have protection.  Where He can lift me up.  Because if I have found so many loopholes or even one that has me so close to the edge of the cliff and when, not if, WHEN I fall…I am going straight to Hell and I will not be able to turn back.  Philippians 4:13 tells me that “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”  How in the heck am I going to to rely on the strength of Christ when I am so far from Him that I can see Him, maybe…but I cannot touch Him.  We are playing games if we think one beer won’t matter, a little pornography won’t matter, reading a bible like the NIV, ESV, NASB, NLT, et al with all their denial of Jesus, Jehovah, the Trinity, Hell, etc. It will be fine…we are going to be surprised!

Not everyone that calls Him Lord Lord will see Heaven: Matthew 7:21-23, 1 John 2:3, Luke 9:35, Revelation 22:14

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.   Matthew 7:21-23

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.”  1 John 2:3

And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.”   Luke 9:35

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Revelation 22:14

Out of all those Scriptures the one verse that keeps rining in my ear is, “…I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:23b

It’s one thing that we know Him.  In fact, I know alot of people.  I know Paul, I know Peter, I know Thomas and James…I know Arnold Swartzenegger, I know President Trump, I even know General Stonewall Jackson.  But, do you know what I have in common with all of those men?  Iknow them…but NONE of them know me.  You may know Jesus, I am willing to bet a lot of people know Him.  But, does HE KNOW YOU?  It is not enough for us to know Jesus…moreover…does HE KNOW US!   Think about that a minuite.

“But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.”   Luke 13:27

Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.Psalm 6:8

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:”  Matthew 25:41

When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:”  Luke 13:25

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”  2 Timothy 2:19

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?”  Galations 4:9

Why are ye looking for LOOPHOLES?   Do ye not know the difference between right and wrong.   If you don’t  know the difference between right and wrong, there is help for thou: James 1:5 tells us to ask God for Wisdom.

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO RISK SPENDING YOUR EVERLASTING IN HELL?

Psalm 1:6, “For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

ESV don’t know who killed Goliath!

In the ESV:

2 Samuel 21:19 says Elhanan killed Goliath
1 Samuel 17:50 says David killed Goliath.

Every Sunday School kid knows David killed Goliath. The King James Bible gets it right.

At least 30 modern bibles including the ESV gets it wrong.  The Ironic thing is virtually every English Bible prior to 1611 does not have this contradiction.

There are thousands of other contradictions and errors in these so-called modern translations.

The NIV and most modern translations deny the TRINITY (Father, the Word & Holy Ghost)

See 1 John 5:7 in your Bible. King James gets it right.

Acts 17:29; Romans 1:20; and Colossians 2:9

All 3 contain the word “Godhead” in the King James Bible…”Godhead” is missing in modern translations that stamp out 1 John 5:7

They are erasing Jesus…they are erasing the Trinity.

Was Mary a virgin?

Isaiah 7:14 In the King James Bible says so.

In the modern bibles virgin is replaced with young woman or handmaiden. No virgin birth….no miracle…no Jesus.

Some put it in a footnote.  If God said it…it needs to be in the text…by adding to a footnote they add doubt.  This is why I hate footnotes.  Many times they will say, “or” and then show the footnote.  Remember, if it says “or” you can ignore.  King James hated footnotes too.  He said that the Word of God can stand on its own.  Many publishers are adding footnotes to the King James Bibles.  Just remember, if it says OR you can IGNORE.

The errors and contradictions in these new Bibles are not just  2 or 3 verses…they occur in 100s and even 1000s.

My God inspired His Word. He promised to preserve it. And He is smart enough to make one Bible…in English that is His words.

There are about 300 modern bibles…all say something different…they can’t all be right.  Now, can they?

Is God confused? Can He not figure out what He wants to say?

How many errors or contradictions must be in a bible before it is no longer God’s Word?

There were three main manuscripts that were used to translate these 300 modern translations.  Two out of the three of these manuscripts have been proven fakes (see Is the World’s oldest Bible a fake?  https://www.ebay.com/itm/132515946947)

I trust the Authorized Version.  You can trust just ONE Bible.  The one that has stood the test of time for over 400 years without a single textual change.  These modern bibles go through a textual change every 5 to 10 years.  The NIV84, NIV2011, NIrV and the TNIV are a totally different bible.  n 2011, an updated version of the NIV was released. The update modified and dropped some of the gender-neutral language of the TNIV (such as going back to using “mankind” and “man” instead of “human beings” and “people”), along with other changes.

2005 TNIV

2011 NIV

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Blessed are those who do not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but who delight in the law of the LORD and meditate on his law day and night. They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

NIV 2010/2011 changes (by John Dyer)

The ESV had revisions done in 2001, 2007, 2011, and 2016.   The 2007 revision changed about 500 words.  The 2011 revision involved aboout 275 verses and less than 500 words.  They also announced the 2007was being phased out.  For the revision of 2016 Crossway announced the “ESV Permanent Text Edition”, where multiple words and verses were changed.  They claimed this would be the last revision.

Isn’t nice to know that the King James has not been “phased out.”  The ESV had so many changes and it was so different than the previous revisions they had no choice but to get rid of the old ones.  But weren’t there changes in the King James Editions; the 1611, 1762 and the 1769?  There were.  But not like you might expect from seeing the changes in the NIV, ESV, et al.   I will cover this in another article.   But for now…here are a handle of what the anti-KJB folks call significant changes:

* 1 Corinthians 12:28 – “helpes in gouernmets” vs. “helps, governments”
* Joshua 3:11 – “Arke of the Couenant, euen the Lord” vs. “ark of the covenant of the Lord”
* 2 Kings 11:10 – “in the Temple” vs. “in the temple of the LORD”
* Isaiah 49:13 – “for God” vs. “for the LORD”
* Jeremiah 31:14 – “with goodnesse” vs. “with my goodness”
* Jeremiah 51:30 – “burnt their dwelling places” vs. “burned her dwellingplaces”
* Ezekiel 6:8 – “that he may” vs. “that ye may”
* Ezekiel 24:5 – “let him seethe” vs. “let them seethe”
* Ezekiel 24:7 – “powred it vpon the ground” vs. “poured it not upon the ground”
* Ezekiel 48:8 – “which they shall” vs. “which ye shall”
* Daniel 3:15 – “a fierie furnace” vs. “a burning fiery furnace”
* Matthew 14:9 – “the othes sake” vs. “the oath’s sake”
* 1 Corinthians 15:6 – “And that” vs. “After that”
* 1 John 5:12 – “the Sonne, hath” vs. “the Son of God hath”

Yep…those are what they call SIGNIFICANT CHANGES.  goodnesse becomes goodness.  Arke of the Couenat becomes ark of the covenant. heples becomes help.

In 1769 Dr. Benjamin Blayney completed his revision of the King James Bible and using Dr. Samuel Johnson’s first edition 1755 printing of the Johnson Dictionary the English language “came of age.” Spelling, punctuation, and grammar became standardized making it possible to teach succeeding generations the fledgling languages’ establishment as a great spoken and written language in the world of communication, commerce and education. I think we can see the 1755 Dr. Samuel Johnson’s Dictionary at work in the above examples of “SIGNIFICANT CHANGES”.  More to come…

WILL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?

Rev. Kevin Airrington
February 10, 2018

The most fascinating, almost haunting thing for me that Jesus ever said is this: “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8) I have literally lost sleep thinking about this verse.

“The Son of man” is what Jesus called Himself on earth. The phrase literally means “Dude”. So, in essence, He is saying, “When this Dude comes…”

Absolutely awesome, Jesus, gotta love Him!

If He is omnipotent and omniscient, and He is, then why would He ask a question like that? It’s almost like the feeling is that it’s going to get so bad on earth before His return that He asks this question of whether or not there’ll even be faith left on the earth at His return to warn us. Warn us of the Hell we will need to put us with and warn us of how easy it is for us to backslide and to always…ALWAYS stay in check.

Jesus asks, “Won’t God answer His own elect who cry to Him daily?” (if you are a Christian you are His elect) prayer…Christians must more than ever pray! Pray without ceasing. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

In Matthew 24:12, where Jesus was speaking about the time just before His return, He said, “And because iniquity (sin) shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Boundless iniquity and a growing lack of love throughout the earth.

Then in II Thessalonians 2:3 Paul said about the second coming of the Lord, “that day shall not come except there come a falling away first.”

A falling away from faith in God throughout the earth. Maybe you haven’t fallen away or you live in a community where faith is still vibrant. But on a national and international scale, faith in God has declined dramatically in the last century or so, especially throughout the nations of the Western world.

My goodness, you would think the writers of the Bible got on Google and read today’s newspaper!

The Bible says the Antichrist will have “scattered the power of the holy people” (Daniel 12:7), just before the return of Jesus.

Maybe that’s why Jesus asked that question, “When the Son of man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” It’s going to be the toughest time in the history of the world for the people of faith.

Will Jesus find faith on earth? The answer seems to be yes. However, weeping and gnashing of teeth…wide is the gate that leads to destruction…for many, He will not find faith. This is a fallen world….just watch the news!

Isaiah 5:20, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Again, watch the news…wow!

God help us all to hold on to our crowns and to keep the faith unto the end, whatever that will be for each of us.

May God bless you and yours.

NKJV /MEV Marijauna Bible

The NKJV/MEV too be sure the New King James Version and /or the Modern English Version (‘updated’ NKJV) is not a King James. They marketed it like that in order to SELL more bibles.

Here are my problems with this version…First, as is the photo I posted from the back of my KJB /NKJV Parallel Bible it says that the NKJV is the perfect transition bible to the modern bibles. I call it the “Marijuana bible” LOL…although, I think we know more today and Marijuana is not necessarily a transition drug to all. It is true that like the KJB the NKJV uses the Textus Receptus (5309 manuscripts from Antioch)…however, it also uses the Critical Text (44 corrupt texts out of Alexandria). The KJ translators had the CT available to them but they discarded them.

Now here are some real PROBLEMS I have with the NKJV.

The NKJV IGNORES the Receptus over 1,200 times.

The NKJV

22 omissions of “hell”,
23 omissions of “blood”,

44 omissions of “repent”,
50 omissions of “heaven”,
51 omissions of “God”,
66 omissions of “Lord”.

NKJV omits the word “new testament” entirely
NKJV omits the word “damnation” entirely
NKJV omits the word “devils” entirely

NKJV omits the word “JEHOVAH” 100% of the time!

The NKJV makes a very serious doctrinal error when dealing with the word “JEHOVAH” in Exodus 6:3. They change the word “JEHOVAH” to “LORD” thus making the Bible contradict itself. Even the corrupt “New World Translation” (Jehovah’s Witnesses Bible) has a better rendering of this passage.  LOL and they use the same manuscripts.

So what does Exodus 6:3 say? Please read carefully – “And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” (KJV)

Now please note what the NKJV says – “I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, LORD, I was not known to them.” (NKJV)

If you will take a concordance and go back to Genesis 1 and go through to Exodus 6:3 you will notice that the word “LORD” is mentioned 242 times.

Did anyone before Exodus know God by the name of “LORD” before Exodus 6:3. The answer is a resounding, YES! Don’t just sit there, look it up for yourself.

So to eliminate the word “JEHOVAH” is not only poor scholarship but also perverts and damages the text making it contradictory. It is a key passage that shows God as He reveals Himself BY ANOTHER NAME to mankind. Someone on the translation committee evidently does not like the name, “JEHOVAH.”

DOCTRINAL PROBLEMS

DEALING WITH SALVATION

The NKJV confuses people about salvation. In Hebrews 10:14 it replaces “are sanctified” with “ARE BEING SANCTIFIED“, and it replaces “are saved” with “ARE BEING SAVED.

In I Corinthians 1:18 and II Corinthians 2:15. The words “may believe” have been replaced with “MAY CONTINUE TO BELIEVE” in I John 5:13.

The old straight and “narrow” way of Matthew 7:14 has become the “DIFFICULT” way in the NKJV.

In II Corinthians 10:5 the KJV reads “casting down imaginations”, but the NKJV reads “CASTING DOWN ARGUMENTS“. The word “thought”, which occurs later in the verse, matches “imaginations”, not “arguments”. This change weakens the verse.

The KJV tells us to reject a “heretick” after the second admonition in Titus 3:10. The NKJV tells us to reject a “ DIVISIVE MAN“. How nice! Now the Alexandrians and Ecumenicals have justification for rejecting anyone they wish to label as “divisive men”.

According to the NKJV, no one would stoop so low as to “corrupt” God’s word. No, they just “PEDDLE” it (II Cor. 2:17). The reading matches the Alexandrian versions.

The KJV correctly says, “For we are not as many, which corrupt the Word of God …. “But the NKJV, NASV, NIV and RSV, change “corrupt” to “peddling.” Is there any great difference between peddling (selling, or making a gain of) the Word of God and corrupting (adulterating) it?

The NKJV gives us no command to “study” God’s word in II Timothy 2:15.

2 TIMOTHY 2:15

KJV reads, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God.” NKJV and NASV change “study” to “be diligent.” NIV and RSV change “study” to “DO YOUR BEST.”

MATTHEW 7:14

KJV – “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life…”

NKJV – “Because narrow is the gate and DIFFICULT is the way which leads to life,”

Is the way unto eternal life difficult? No, that is false teaching. The way unto eternal life is “strait,” as the KJV says, meaning “constricted, restricted, distressed, narrow, restrained.”

MATTHEW 20:20

KJV – “Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him…”

NKJV – “Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Him with her sons, KNEELING DOWN…”

This is a wicked change. To kneel is obviously not the same as worship. “Worship” was in Tyndale’s translation of 1526. It was in the Matthew’s Bible of 1537. It was the Geneva of 1537. It was in the Authorized Version of 1611. Even the English Revised version of 1881 and the American Standard Version of 1901 retained the word “worship.” It was the modernistic Revised Standard Version of 1952 which changed to “kneeling.” Now the NKJV editors follow this same wicked error.

HEBREWS 3:16

KJV – “For some, when they had heard did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.”

NKJV – “For who having heard rebelled? Indeed, WAS IT NOT ALL who came out of Egypt led by Moses?”

Was it ALL or not all of them?  The NKJV make this verse to say something directly contrary to the KJV and to the Old Testament. The Bible plainly says that not all of the Israelites rebelled against God, but the NKJV creates a contradiction.

The NKJV also lines up with the (NWT) Jehovah’s Witness Perversion in dealing with the above.

DANIEL 3:25 The fourth person who was in the fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, was identified as “the Son of God.” The same identification is given in the text of the NKJV but a footnote reads “or, a son of the gods,” and both NIV and NASV actually have the latter reading in their texts.  I hate footnotes…it leaves DOUBT as to what God really said!

The NKJV is supposedly easier to read and understand but its impurities actually make it doubly deceptive and dangerous.  The New King James Version / Modern English Version is a counterfeit my friend.

EASIER?  HARDER!

And by changing thee’s and thou’s they actually change the meaning of the text.  Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4). He also said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matt. 24:35). Since Christ is concerned about every word, we should also be concerned about every word!

Let me help…and you will never be confused by thee and thou again.  ?  If it starts with T it is singular.  If it starts with Y it is plural…see EASY!

Archaic words?  Yes!  But the NKJV has them too as does every bible.   Many of the words are EASIER in the KJB than the NKJV.

Please decide what God is saying to Moses:

“And the LORD said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?” (Exodus 16:28, NKJV)

It looks like God is saying, “Moses, you are continuing to refuse to keep My commandments and My laws.” But look carefully at the accurate King James:

“And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?”

Now we understand! It was the people, not Moses, that God was upset with. “Ye” and “you” mean more than one person. “Thee,” “thou,” “thy,” “thine,” “doeth,” “hast,” etc., only mean one person. How do we know? The “y” is plural. The “t” is singular. Isn’t that easy? Now you know what Jesus meant when He said to Nicodemus, “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).

What Jesus said was, “Nicodemus, marvel not that I said unto thee, all of you need to be born again.” This is very important. Not only Nicodemus needed to be saved. But everybody, including him, needed to be born again. That’s why Jesus used the plural.
