YOU STUPID MOTHER F******* CHRISTIANS!!!

I have had it! I cannot keep silent no longer.

Rev. Kevin Airrington

There is way too much cursing on television these days.

I remember when George Jefferson saying H-E-L-L in the 70?s was a big, huge deal. Watch prime time television and you will see times have certainly changed. I’ve seen folks cursing on television (the real curse words) and pray right after! *Whew*  That is a comment from godsygirl.com.  She is right, I have heard EVERY WORD.  F…S…and the one that makes my blood boil GD!  Praying right after is great but let me ask you this, “Why in God’s name would you invite garbage into your living room that you would not do via your television?”  It’s just a question.  🙂

The problem is we have become desensitized to sin.  Now, I am a big boy and the rule at the Airrington house is, “NO RATED R MOVIES!”  Have I watched rated R movies…well of course I have.  But, I have also walked out of a theater, wasting the 60 bucks on tickets, popcorn etc.  I have heard Christians and pretenders say, “I just ignore it.” I’m sorry how can you ignore a bunch of F BOMBS and people taking MY LORDS NAME IN VAIN!!!!  or “It don’t really bother me that much!”  This one is very revealing.  This “Christian”, probably a PRETENDER uses profanity on a regular bases.  I guarantee it.

I have a very dear brother…and I say that with all sincerity.  He is a dear brother.  Before we go to movies together…I check with Focus On The Families Online Movie Review Guide: PLUGGED IN.  My brother is in the category of, “I just ignore the bad language.”  I have known him for about 20 years and I have never heard him swear.  Together we try and pick movies with little swearing (almost IMPOSSIBLE)

Although, I don’t think he knew he was doing this at the time but my cousin Rob Rossi paid me a compliment awhile back. First you have to understand we are different. We love each other…we get along (most days)…but we are different. We have different values, we raise our families different…not wrong just different. I am what some might call a man of God and he is what some might call a man of Busch Beer. smile emoticon

One day Rob says, “Cuz…” That’s what he calls me when he has something real special to say to me. smile emoticon “Cuz…I see a lot of Christians they do this and they do that and they swear like I do but you don’t and that impresses me.” Now, if my cousin says he is impressed you better listen up because he don’t hand out the compliments often. This doesn’t mean he is a bad guy…he just don’t compliment often. And in spite of what some people may call a flaw in his character…I think he is a pretty nice guy…

My first thought was to use an old Billy Graham line in a 20/20 interview years ago with Barbara Walters…He said, “I am no better, I just repent daily.” And I do, believe me. But that almost sounds a like, “I am better than you.”

I too notice a lot people who claim to be Christians…make no issue of letting the profanity fly. I am not talking about your slip here and there (Although this is questionable as well)…but they swear like it is a part of their vocabulary. What? Christian you are not in control of your mouth? Then who is? The Bible warns us not to be under the control of anything, except the Holy Ghost.

The Bible is clear…swearing is a sin.

The Bible tells us that sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4) and rebellion against God (Deuteronomy 9:7, Joshua 1:18). It is furthermore described as imaginations of the unrenewed heart (Genesis 6:5; 8:21), defiling (Proverbs 30:12; Isaiah 59:3), disgraceful (Proverbs 14:34), and unrighteous (1 John 5:17), among other things.

Jesus specifically taught that what comes out of a man’s mouth is evidence of what is in his heart. Luke 6:45

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:29, “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” John MacArthur has written of this verse, “The word for ‘corrupt’ refers to that which is foul or rotten, such as spoiled fruit or putrid meat. Foul language of any sort should never pass a Christian’s lips, because it is totally out of character with his new life in Christ.”

1 Peter 3:10 says, “For He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.”

This bears repeating in case you went to sleep on me. The Bible speaks loud and clear on the issue of cussing. The Bible tells us that sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4) and rebellion against God (Deuteronomy 9:7, Joshua 1:18). We can conclude that from the Biblical definition of sin, our overview of cursing and Scripture’s many expressions on the use of our tongue is without question a sin to curse. As Christians, we are expected to rest on the promises of God, “cleansing ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1). Cursing is contrary to resting on God’s promises for it is a failure to follow the Lord’s greatest commandments–to love God and to love people (Matthew 22:37-40). When we curse an individual, we do not love people; and when we curse God, we do not love Him. And if you tale the Lord MY GOD’s Name in vain…that is using His name as a curse word. Holy S., GD, Jesus Christ (as a cuss word)…this is very serious!!!

Now, this is gonna sting. I believe if you are not in control of your tongue, then you probably are not saved. Jesus gives us two examples of how to determine if someone is a Christian. I believe He means for us to know the difference. He said you will know them by their love and you will know them by their fruits. How can you show love to someone when you curse them or God? And how can you have good fruit if your are producing what John McArthur calls spoiled fruit or putrid meat.

I do not cuss because it does not please my Lord. Not because I repent daily…who cares…I mean not who cares because I do repent daily…but I don’t swear because I know that it does not PLEASE JESUS. Nowhere do we have a record of Jesus swearing. Are we not Christians? Doesn’t that mean to be Christlike?

So, Kevin, I have trouble with my tongue am I going to Hell. Well, maybe, however, we are all guilty of breaking the law. All 10 commandments. You say, “I never committed adultery.” Jesus said if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery. Well I never murdered. 1 John 3:15, “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” We have all lied, stolen, etc.

We are all guilty of breaking the law. Thankfully, God became a man nd he dwelt among us and then died on a tree and on the third day rose again…God forgives us of our sins through the redemption found only in Jesus Christ (John 3:16). He is just to forgive sins if we confess them. If you have trouble with your tongue…repent! Get right with God. Ask the Holy Ghost to be in control of your mouth. What a terrible example…an ambassador of Christ you are spewing swear words!

Listen you cannot convinced me heaven is your home if you cannot control your tongue…so listen up!!! Please…I am trying to warn you not judge you.

Be sure and Like and share if this message touched you. Also, if you Love Jesus…tell someone about Him today.

P.S. Many of you know me…and understand how at times I use shock value to get my post read. This is only because I feel it is important. I apologize if it was offensive to anyone.
