It is not a question as to what the Word of God says…it is a question of, “DO WE BELIEVE WHAT IT SAYS?”
You are so right on the money sister...they are coming out of the closet, and we are being shoved in it. We go silently…gagged by our own disbelief of the promises of God…bound by strangers in a land promised by God. Who are we and how dare us?
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, three noble youths of Jerusalem, condemned to death in a fiery furnace by Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon because of the faithful refusal to worship any god but the God of Israel.
Today, we have three new not so nobles, "SHACK UP, ME SHACK and IN TO BED WE GO!" Today it's any god but God! Today, "Christians" make so many compromises...we are silent when one woman, Madalyn Murray O'Hair had prayer removed from the schools...and look at the results...teen pregnancy up 993%...the very next year our president was assassinated...violent crime up 1790%...divorce up...unmarried couples living together up nearly 2000%!

The church is SILENT while Obama pushes a gay agenda in 2012...silent when the Supreme Court and little appointed (NOT ELECTED) men in black robes determines who can marry...our standard is not the supreme court...our standard is the WORD OF GOD...and if we want to see the lost redeemed we better WAKE UP and start living like we believe what it says in that ancient of ancient books!!!
Daniel 3:16-18, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar… our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king… BE IT KNOWN TO THEE, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image…”
For their defiance the Bible records an ANGRY Nebuchadnezzar…order the furnace be turned up 7 times higher than normal…Nebuchadnezzar had them bound by the mightiest of his army and cast into the fiery furnace. The king was so urgent, and flames shot from the furnace that it killed the men that threw these men of faith in the furnace!
Suddenly, Nebuchadnezzar jumped to his feet and demanded of his counselors…”HOW MANY MEN DID YOU PUT IN THE FURNACE? Was it not three men?” The counselors agreed…yes three men.
Nebuchadnezzar could not believe what he was seeing. Why were these men no longer bound? Why were they not hurt? And who was this fourth man with them? The Bible records that it was the SON OF GOD!!!! My Jesus. Is He yours?
The princes, the counselors, the governors, and the captains looked on as the king called the men out…they were not hurt…their hair nor clothes burnt…the Bible records that they didn’t even smell of fire!
King Nebuchadnezzar from that day on served the God of Israel and ordered all to do the same or be cut to pieces.
It is not a question as to what the Word of God says…it is a question of, “DO WE BELIEVE WHAT IT SAYS?” And if we believe what it says are we willing to forsake all our gods…the iPods, the iPads, the television, and the boy in the tight Wrangler jeans…the girl with her breast about to pop right out of her blouse… the bottle of whiskey…the can of beer on Sunday while we watch our football and eat our processed food…or are you willing to forsake them and stand up and shout, “BE IT KNOWN TO THEE, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image…”
Is there a DANIEL among you? Is there a Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego among you? Will you stand in a fiery furnace dancing with the SON OF GOD, or will you keep silent and punch LOL, TTLY endlessly into your electronic gods? Is it not a god? Get rid of it for a month…a week…a day! Yeah, that’s what I thought!
